Teal and mint smooth dress

So I posted a concept picture for this dress a little while ago, and surprisingly, it's stayed relatively true to the original. I decided that the cap sleeves I was going for were just going to look silly in practice so I nixed them and decided to make both gauntlets and bracelets (though I have made neither yet) so that I have options depending on whether it is very warm or not. So here are some pictures of the steps.

That's as far as I've gotten so far. I'm still waiting on my stones to arrive in the mail and then I'll start stoning!

Some more concept drawings. I had posted a preliminary concept for the pink standard dress a while ago, but have since fleshed it out a little more. I'm utterly in love with this dress and can't wait to be able to attempt to make it:

Sparkly gloves to go with the orange dress

I was bored this week and am desperately trying to avoid studying for finals, so I made some stoned gloves to go with my orange dress!

I've been really bad about blogging this one, but the orange dress is done! I may end up stoning it more later on, but for now I'm leaving it so that I can remove the stoned belt and wear it for syllabus.

Smooth dress pt 1

Well, I started this project a little while ago but haven't really had time to blog about it, so it's already pretty completed. I'm working off of the sketch of the orange dress from the previous post. This is the basic body of the dress, it's going to have a belt in addition and chiffon feather like fringe (I don't know if there is a real term for it, but it looks like feathers from a distance yet it isn't so it's syllabus legal and way less expensive) in the flame pattern. So yes, I will be on fire.
